Jivin Miss Daisy
Jivin' Miss Daisy - one of the UK's finest and in-demand swing bands, playing all kinds of swing music, ranging from Duke Ellington and Jimmie Lunceford in the 1920s, through Dorsey and Goodman in the 30s and 40s, to Ella and Basie in the 1950s and early 60s. Featuring male and female vocals, popular instrumentals and solo spots, the band puts on a wonderful evening's entertainment, with plenty of favourites - and lesser-known gems - from the great songwriters including Gershwin, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen as well as the Duke, the Count and many others, with original arrangements by bandleader Simon Thorpe.
