SAVANNAH JAZZ BAND
Savannah are one of the most popular UK bands around, due to their talent for satisfying listeners and dancers. They have built up truly international reputation at major festivals in the UK and overseas with their driving and exciting New Orleans style and attract large audiences wherever they appear. Formed in 1979, the band is as much a musicians band as it is a magnet for its impressive number of loyal fans, many of whom will be making the trip to Bute this May. Demand for the band’s music has prompted regular recording sessions which have produced no less than 20 CDs, covering 14 live concerts. In addition, 6 studio sessions are available, released by Lake Records. The band’s live performances have entertained audiences throughout the UK and as far afield as Holland, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Majorca, Canada and the Isle of Man.
