Grammy nominated pianist, vocalist, songwriter, radio host and humorist, Judy Carmichael is one of the world’s leading interpreters of stride and swing piano. Count Basie nicknamed her “Stride” acknowledging her command of the style.
Known for her swinging interpretations of the Great American Songbook and her originals in that vein, she is equally celebrated for her hilarious, improvisational anecdotes which have made her a favorite on radio and TV internationally including appearances on Loose Ends, In Tune, Up All Night, Woman’s Hour and numerous other shows for the BBC.
Judy has brought her high-energy skills everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice to Ronnie Scott's and many visit to the Concorde Club.
