Bobby Davro made his television debut in 1981; his major breakthrough came with an appearance in “Live At Her Majestys” in 1983.
This led to a number of his own Saturday night TV series - Davro, Bobby Davro on The Box, Bobby’s Sketch Pad and TV Weekly which immediately topped the ratings for six consecutive years.
In 1991 Bobby moved to the BBC and made three series, Public Enemy Number One, Rock with Laughter and Run The Risk.
In 1997 Bobby hosted Winner Takes All for 65 programmes.
Bobby has been touring with ‘Swingin’ a tribute to the songs and music of Frank Sinatra featuring bobby’s 15-piece orchestra and international recording star Kenny Lynch.
In 2003 Bobby was involved in a brand-new exciting show for Channel 4, called ‘The Games’ in which Bobby had to compete in several Olympic style events.
Bobby is also known for his brilliant acting and joined the cast of Eastenders as lovable cockney rogue Vinnie Monks.
Bobby has performed in Pantomime throughout his career and once topped the bill in Cinderella alongside veteran Hollywood star Mickey Rooney, he also performed in the ITV series of Dancing on Ice and now regards skating as one of his added talents.
Versatility is the key to Bobby’s longevity, as a high-profile personality. Be it in television, voice overs, pantomime, summer shows, musical theatre, corporate entertainment and late-night cabaret.
Bobby Davro is the ultimate stand up and talent – Team England are lucky to have him !
JOHN ARCHER
John is a remarkable talent and our host for this show.
So who is he?
Well, he’s a comedian, magician, actor, singer, musician, writer, didgeridooist... and all-around modest guy.
John is often the support for the brilliant comedian Tim Vine but has also performed in his own solo shows in all major towns and cities all over the UK plus performed internationally in over 45 different countries.
John is a UK Comedy Magician and a past winner of the Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year competition. He was a semi-finalist on Britain's Got Talent.
Considered by many to be one of the best comedy magicians and theatre hosts in the UK today. As Las Vegas magicians Penn & Teller said, “John is brilliant and he fooled us”!
We are overjoyed to have John as Team captain for England and our non-bias referee!!!
