Portrait In Evans – Noa Levy, Alan Barnes and the Paul Edis Trio

San Francisco’s JITN rising star vocalist Noa Levy joins Parliamentary Award winner London based pianist Paul Edis & his Trio in their new album “Portrait In Evans”. Set to be released in March 2026, the album features the original music of Bill Evans with new lyrics, vocal interpretations and original arrangements.

Appearing alongside Noa and Paul is UK Jazz legend, Alan Barnes, and completing the lineup are one of the finest rhythm sections around, with Simon Read (double bass) and Billy Pod (drums).

“A magnificent concert, super tribute to Bill Evans” – Vincent Charbonnier, founder 38Riv Jazz Club (Paris, France)

“It is fantastic. Breath of fresh air…not the same-old-same-old thing” – Shaunna Machosky, Jazzdog (US)

Noa Levy

Currently lighting up San Francisco Bay Area's jazz scene, Noa Levy captivates audiences with a swinging, authentic sound that JAZZIT Magazine calls "at the same time classic and contemporary." Winner of the Sheila Jordan Award for her Voice & Bass Album Debut (with Japanese Bass Player Shimpei Ogawa), Noa's performances at prestigious venues like SFJAZZ and The Fillmore showcase her "expertly rendered selections" (NYC Jazz Record), and draw inspiration from her heroines Ella Fitzgerald and Carmen McRae.

Paul Edis

Paul Edis stands as one of the UK's leading creative musicians, earning prestigious recognition including Best Album at the 2023 Parliamentary Jazz Awards alongside vocalist Jo Harrop. His appearances alongside a host of jazz luminaries (including Jon Faddis, Tim Garland, Jim Mullen) showcase his versatility as a performer, while his original compositions demonstrate his passionate commitment to melody and creative innovation within both jazz and classical traditions. Described by Jazz Journal as "a major voice in British Jazz," Paul brings depth and sophistication to every performance.
