Beating Blindness Lecture – University of Southampton Gift of Sight

Join vision scientists from the University of Southampton to find out about the team’s ongoing eye research projects supported by the Gift of Sight Appeal. Hosted by Dr Jay Self, talks will include the latest news on age-related macular degeneration (AMD) from Professor Andrew Lotery; a fascinating insight into retinal stem cell biology by Dr Jörn Lakowski; and advances in sight-saving treatments for children by Dr Ellie Keeling. Dr Helena Lee will moderate the questions and answers session.

Time: 5:45pm – 8:00pm (lecture from 6:30-7:30pm).  Welcome soft drinks will be served on arrival, with an opportunity to meet some of the vision scientists and students before and after the lecture.
