MUD

The two surviving members of Mud, Rob Davis and Ray Stiles, eventually decided to reform the band for a limited number of shows late 2015. They were the first undertaken by Rob and Ray since the original band broke up in 1978, and the first time that they will have played the songs that were their hits back in the 70s. Joined by three very experienced musicians and long-time friends, they capture the sound and spirit that was the band’s unmistakeable trademark when Les Gray and Dave Mount – both now sadly deceased, completed the original line-up. Since then, Rob and Ray have followed successful careers in different areas of music.

Rob Davis, guitar – is now a very successful songwriter having written numerous number 1 hits including ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ for Kylie Minogue and ‘Groovejet’ for Sophie Ellis Bexter (Spiller)

Ray Stiles, bass – has been a member of the Hollies for 38 years, produced their last two studio albums and continues to tour with them. Also produces his son Jack’s band called Vambo who will be touring with Mud.

Pete Phipps, drums – was a founder member of the Glitter Band and then moved on to XTC and the Eurythmics with Annie Lennox.

Keith Read, guitar – founder member of the 60s rockers The Wild Angels. A great Elvis fan, he has worked with the Jordanaires and shares vocal duties with Ray.

Ian Parker, keyboards – from the Hollies has recently joined the line-up.
