The story and songs of Lonnie Donegan's rise to fame as "The King of Skiffle" and the god father of British pop music.
Lonnie Donegan was Britain's most inspirational pop star before The Beatles and is the very reason that all of the 60s bands began to play music.

From Banjo player in The Chris Barber and Ken Colyer jazz & blues bands, to the heights of international fame, Lonnie had over 30 chart entries in 4 years.
This show features all of Lonnie's major hits including: Battle of New Orleans, Rock Island Line, Cumberland Gap, Putting on the Style, Have a Drink on Me and more.
Presented by banjo, guitarist and vocalist, Warren James, who will be accompanied by the creme of European jazz and blues.
Completing the lineup is non other than "The drummers-drummer", Baby Jools, who is the king of New Orleans rhythms and "The Ace on the Bass", Jim Swinnerton, a star of the West End musical The Million Dollar Quartet.
