Eddie Gripper Trio

Led by a pianist deservedly gaining national recognition, Eddie Gripper, with Ursula Harrison (bass), and Patrick Barrett-Donlon (drums), this wonderful new trio play engaging and dynamic music and visit The Lescar as part of a UK-wide tour, with their debut album out now on Ubuntu Music.

With a string of collaborations in the jazz world, Eddie Gripper's music blends jazz, folk music and contemporary classical traditions. Eddie and bassist Ursula were part of a band Hiraeth who were finalists in the International Bucharest Jazz Competition. Along with Patrick, the trio's debut album, 'Home', was released on Ubuntu Music in 2023. In it you hear a trio that breathes as one, full of accessible rich harmonies and a strong rhythmic focus, the music from this trio is thoughtful, lyrical and multi-layered, it's just a wonderful recording.
