60's Hitmakers

A sensational sixties show with an all star line up:

DAVE BERRY

In these days of transient pop stars, it's refreshing to find an artist who has remained faithful to his art.

Roy Carr (NME music journalist) described Dave as "the most original performer in British Rock".

In the early days, he toured with Dusty Springfield and The Rolling Stones, and then went on to appear as special guest with Van Morrison, Roger Taylor, and Tony Iommi. Dave was invited to the Dusty Springfield tribute concert at The Royal Albert Hall with Boy George and Rick Astley.

He has the best selling single of all time in Holland and Belgium, with his recording of the Ray Davies song 'This Strange Effect'.

In 2014, he appeared at The Meltdown Festival at The Festival Hall London, with Paloma Faith, Sandie Shaw, Ronnie Spector, and Ray Davies.

Dave Berry's massive hits include: ‘MEMPHIS', 'LITTLE THINGS', 'MAMA', ‘THIS STRANGE EFFECT’, 'THE CRYING GAME’, ‘MY BABY LEFT ME’, and ‘MEMPHIS TENNESSEE’

Dave Berry Lives on as a true original.

RAY PHILLIPS (NASHVILLE TEENS)

Ray was the original lead vocalist with The Nashville Teens, who scored a Top 10 hit with 'TOBACCO ROAD' in 1964. Two more hit singles followed: 'FIND MY WAY BACK HOME' & 'HOOCHIE COOCHIE MAN'

THE DREAMERS

Formerly ‘Freddie and The Dreamers.’ The Dreamers remain one of the best known named bands on the sixties music circuit and behind huge hits such as I'm Telling You Now and You Were Made For Me. Changes to personnel over the past 50 years were of course inevitable, but Alan Mosca remains in the band today. He has been in the band (as 'Freddie and The Dreamers' and then 'The Dreamers'), for over 37 years. Along with Freddie, Alan toured throughout Europe Australia and The Middle East and was alongside Freddie as part of the British Invasion Tour of America (part 2), sharing the stage with Gerry and The Pacemakers and The Searchers at at Madison Square Garden, New York and other prestige venues.

PINKERTONS ASSORTED COLOURS

This eclectic group had their first UK chart success with Mirror Mirror, followed that with Don't Stop Loving Me Baby and then, using the name Flying Machine, scored a hit in the USA with Smile a Little Smile for Me.
