PHINESTA TAYLOR

For more than 20 years Phinesta has entertained audiences in the UK and Europe with style and class.

She has one of the most warm, sultry voices that lends itself to a versatile genre of music. The precious vocal tones of soul, jazz and blues music are evident in the selection of songs chosen during her performances.

Phinesta is originally from the Mardi Gras City of New Orleans in Louisiana. She started her professional career singing in talent shows around the city. She sang lead as part of the band "MIXX Company" and performed on the infamous Bourbon Street in the French Quarter for many years. During high school and while attending Dillard University, Phinesta always took a major part in the music community, as part of the concert choir and studying music therapy.

During her early years she sang in the children's choir at church. Her family was then and is still, very musically orientated. Her father, the Reverend Traylor of Tupelo, Mississippi, sang in the gospel group "The Golden Wings" during her childhood. Her religiously faithful mother was and is still a great singer for Christ.

Phinesta believes her family foundation and support is what keeps her strong.
