BOBBY DAVRO
Bobby Davro is a British actor and comedian with a vast and eclectic career both on the stage and screen; he made his first television appearance in 1981 but it was not until 1983 that he truly gained fame after appearing on Live from Her Majesty's. Davro’s most prominent work took place as a comedian during the 1980’s when he had a number of his own shows including Bobby Davro on the Box, Bobby Davro’s TV Annual and Bobby Davro’s TV Weekly.
In more recent years however he has transferred from hosting and TV presenting to acting and has appeared in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders where he played Vinnie Monks. He has also appeared as a guest actor in numerous other British television series. However Davro is probably most well known as an impressionist and in 2013 he demonstrated the longevity of his talents by appearing in Your Face Sounds Familiar, where prominent impressionists compete and mimic famous singers. Davro was applauded for his portrayal of Sir Tom Jones, Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney.
His distinctive personality as a comedian, excellent character impressions, acting skills and entertaining stories about his career and the media industry make Bobby Davro an excellent choice for an after dinner speaker. Bobby Davro continues to perform, acting on stage alongside many well-known British and globally successful actors and actresses including Melinda Messenger, Nigel Havers, Jasper Carrott and Bonnie Tyler.
