Attractions in Eastleigh
Lakeside Country Park
The charming Lakeside Country Park is just a short walk from The Concorde. With 60 acres of lakes, wet meadow and woodland, the park is ideal for a short walk or a long, leisurely picnic. The designated paw trail is perfect for dog walking, and fishing is available in two of the three lakes - one of which is named Lake Concorde. The park is open from 7.30am to 4pm all year round. To access the Lakeside Country Park, simply cross the ford using Monks Brook Bridge and turn left; the park entrance can be found 50 metres on the left hand side.

Eastleigh Lakeside Steam Railway
The Eastleigh Lakeside Steam Railway operates trains on a narrow gauge line throughout the Lakeside Country Park. Trains depart from the Station on Doncaster Drove and run every weekend throughout the year, plus every day in June, July, August and during school holidays.

St Nicolas’ Parish Church
Located in Old Stoneham Lane, just a short walk from The Concorde, St Nicolas’ Parish Church is over 1,000 years old. Renowned for the unusual one-handed clock face on its steeple, the land and lakes behind the church were designed by Capability Brown, the famed Victorian landscape designer.

Hampshire Attractions for all the Family
Paultons Family Theme Park (home of Peppa Pig World)
Paultons Park has rides for all the family, as well as an extensive collection of animals and gardens to explore. The park is also the home of Peppa Pig World, the first theme park based on the beloved children’s character.

Open daily, Marwell Wildlife is one of the UK’s leading zoos. Set in 140 acres of landscaped parkland, the zoo is home to over 1,200 animals from all over the world, including ring-tailed coatis, giraffes, tigers, meerkats and hippos.

Set in stunning grounds complete with ancient trees, brooks and extensive lawns, Mottisfont Abbey is a beautiful stately home. Converted from a medieval priory, it is now operated by the National Trust.

Manor Farm and Country Park
A working farm for over 600 years, Manor Farm and Country Park is open all year round and offers plenty to see and do – from feeding the animals to lessons in a Victorian schoolroom. Entry to the Country Park is free, while Manor Farm carries a small admission charge.

Sea City Museum
Located in the heart of the Cultural Quarter, the Sea City Museum tells the maritime history of the city, including the major part that Southampton played in the story of the Titanic. The Museum is within easy access of the railway station and city centre car parking.

Tudor House and Garden
One of the most important buildings in Southampton’s history, Tudor House depicts over 800 years of history through its exhibits, giving a unique glimpse into the life and times of its residents.

The Ageas Bowl
The home of Hampshire County Cricket, one of the country’s most successful cricket teams, the Ageas Bowl hosts a range of events throughout the year. Full cricket fixtures, along with a list of non-cricketing events, can be found online.

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
Attracting 500,000 visitors per year, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is home to the HMS Victory – Lord Nelson’s flagship and the world’s oldest commissioned warship – and the new Mary Rose Museum, which depicts more than 800 years of British naval history. Take the opportunity to walk the decks of the famous ship, and learn the tragic story of one of the most famous maritime disasters.

Bursledon Windmill is a Grade II listed building and Hampshire’s only working windmill. The windmill is open from 11am to 4pm every Sunday. As well as watching the windmill in action, why not have a go at grinding your own flour by hand using the ancient saddle quern or the medieval rotary quern?

Beaulieu National Motor Museum
Located in the heart of the New Forest National Park, Beaulieu tells the history of motoring through a range of excellent exhibits including modern rally cars and F1 Grand Prix machines.
